Wilson Community College and Wilson Fire Rescue Services is hosting a 1 day class on Balancing Security with Fire Safety in Educational Occupancies. The course will cover the conflicts between security and fire safety in schools. It will discuss locking procedures and classroom barricade devices. Considerations and discussion on criteria for when schools should consider evacuate vs. defend-in-place vs. relocation in buildings is also covered. This unique course will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Wilson Community College.
