It’s time to honor your outstanding Chief or Officer by nominating them as the ECFA Chief and/or Officer of the Year! There are up to four awards presented annually to Volunteer Chief, Career Chief, Volunteer Officer and Career Officer. These awards are intended to honor a long service to the community, rather than a one time incident. (Think of it as a lifetime achievement award)
The winners of the awards are automatically forwarded to the NC Association of Fire Chiefs to be considered for their annual award at the Mid-Winter conference. The 2019 ECFA Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year was Bryan Perry of the Buxton Volunteer Fire Department in Dare County. Chief Perry was also selected for the same award from the NCAFC! Way to represent the East chief!
