The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) elected chief Jeff Cash to its board of directors on June 4th at the NFPA annual Conference & Expo in Boston. His three-year term takes effect upon the close of the conference.
Cash is the Fire Chief and Emergency Manager for the City of Cherryville, North Carolina, Fire Department. He has been a member of the department since 1981, previously serving as a firefighter, driver engineer, captain and training officer.
Cash serves as Deputy Executive Director of the North Carolina Fire Chiefs Association, and as past president of the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association and the Western North Carolina Firemen’s Association. He also serves on the executive committee of the National Volunteer Fire Council, and is a member of the NFPA Technical Committee on Fire Officer Professional Qualifications.
