The ECFA was founded in 1934 in Washington, NC. Then it was known as the East Carolina Firemen’s Association. Our first president was Richard Leach. Before there was an “official” ECFA, Presley M. Harper from Lenoir County, represented firefighters from the East until 1933.
The ECFA would like to say Thank You to our Past-Presidents. We appreciate your leadership and willingness to serve this great association.
Sadly, many of the ECFA minutes and documents were lost due to multiple flooding events. As we can correctly identify our presidents, we will be updating this list.
